Fake BIDGARI agents — how to spot impersonators
Scammers use the BIDGARI name to ask for deposits. How to verify you're actually talking to us.
How the impersonation works
Scammers borrow BIDGARI branding and listing photos, build trust, then push you onto a private WhatsApp number and ask for a deposit or 'clearance fee'.
What BIDGARI never does
We never ask for money on WhatsApp, never direct you to a personal M-Pesa number, and never ask for payment before you inspect the car. Our official channels are listed on the Contact and Safety pages.
Verify before you send anything
Check the contact against our official WhatsApp, phone, and email. Ask for the listing reference and confirm it through the platform. If anything feels rushed, it usually is.
If you've been targeted
Stop communicating, save screenshots, report the number to your service provider, and report it to the BIDGARI team immediately so we can warn other buyers.
